Abstract

Purpose: This study attempted to help ego state activation of nursing college students who have difficult with adaptation and dissactisfaction on campus life by means of transactional analysis group counselling program. Method: The total subjects who volunteered to participate in the transactional analysis group counselling program were nursing college freshman. All subjects were assigned to training group by time conveniently. Training group participated 9 session from 2002, 24, June to 24, Oct.. Result: When comparing Egogram the results of pre and post test of this program, there were were significant difference among NP, A, FC. The shape of Egogram was changed from N pattern to M pattern. The positive function of ego states were significant difference among A, FC and the negative function of ego states were CP, NP and FC. All members of the training group answered that their personality type is relatively easy to understand and support to activating ego states. Conclusion: This TA group program is effective in activating ego states for nursing student.
